We organize two technical tours, short and long one. Participants may decide, which type of technical tour fit their plans.

Short Technical Tour

The technical tour will take  place  on Wednesday,  June 6th.  The start is scheduled for 9:20 AM from conference venue, the program ends at about 1 PM at the CTU in Prague. Participants will be provided with a snack and will have possibility to get off  at Prague  Airport. Transfer between the venues will be provided by a private bus.

Programme

  • 9:30 AM Bus transfer to Buštěhrad
  • 10:00 PM Excursion to the building of the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings, Buštěhrad
  • 12:30 Stop at the Prague Airport
  • 13:00 Arrival at the CTU in Prague – ‘Dejvická’ metro station, end of the event.

Long Technical Tour

The technical tour will take  place  on Wednesday,  June 6th.  The start is scheduled for 9:20 AM in  downtown Prague, the program ends at about 4 PM at the CTU in Prague. Participants will be provided with a snack and will have possibility to get off  at Prague  Airport twice during the day. Transfer between the venues will be provided by a private bus.

Technical tour stops

University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings

A unique multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to sustainable building, located in Bustehrad, about 15 minutes outside of Prague. Participants will enjoy a presentation of the facilities, research activities and guided tour through laboratories.

DRN Office Building

DRN is  a  polyfunctional  office  building  in  the  downtown  Prague.  The  building  was designed by Stanislav Fiala and is one of the finest examples of 21st century modern and sustainable  Czech  architecture.  It  was  built  between  2012  and  2017  and  it  has  four underground and eight floors above ground, topped with a green roof.

High School Building – Centrum odborné přípravy technickohospodářské

Revitalization  into  a  smart,  safe,  sustainable,  energy  and  carbon  positive  high  school building.ENVILOP, wooden  facade developed  at  CTU, used  for  the  first  time,  predictive control in relation to spot prices in the network, production and accumulation of electricity, use of grey water for flushing, green facades and clever control of the indoor microclimate.
