We would like to welcome all participants of CESB22 and YRSB22 arriving in Prague on Sunday at a welcome drink reception, starting on Sunday 3rd July 2022, at 6:30 PM at the conference venue – main atrium of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU in Prague, Thakurova 7, Prague 6.

We are excited to announce that registrations for CESB22 are now up and running! You can choose whether you want to come to Prague in person or participate online. It will be possible to change this option later according to our business terms. We would also like to point out that presenting authors must register no later than April 1, 2022.

Final line up of keynote speakers confirmed for CESB22

As another keynote speaker we are excited to welcome Dr Karsten Voss, who is a professor of building physics & technical services at the faculty of architecture and civil engineering of the University Wuppertal, Germany, and an expert of the International Energy Agency, where he works on tasks concerning building renovation, solar sustainable housing, and net zero solar energy buildings.

And the last keynote you can look forward to is Wolfgang Streicher, who is a professor of energy efficient buildings and renewable energies at Innsbruck University in Austria, and who has provided his expertise to institutions such as the European Commission or International Energy Agency.

We are already looking forward to all the keynotes and we hope to meet them and so you in Prague this July!

First keynotes confirmed!

We are delighted to announce that the first keynotes have confirmed their participation in the CESB22 conference! The first is Dr Miles Oglethorpe, who is a president of the International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage (TICCIH), and a head of Industrial Heritage at Historic Environment Scotland, the national body responsible for the built heritage in Scotland. The second one is Dr Rolf Frischknecht, who is a lecturer at ETH Zürich and a founder of treeze Ltd., one of the leading private Life Cycle Assessment consulting companies in Europe.

Sustainable Design & Construction in Germany exhibition at CESB22

The attendees of the CESBB22 conference in Prague will be able to see a new poster exhibition titled Sustainable Design & Construction in Germany, which is the official exhibition of newly established and now independent Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building in cooperation with Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR).

CESB22 obtained the patronage of the capital city of Prague

We are pleased to announce that the CESB22 conference will be held under the official auspices of the City of Prague. This patronage is granted only to events that significantly contribute to the development of the city or enhancement of the city’s prestige.

We would like to thank the mayor of the capital city of Prague for providing patronage and trust.

The Aesthetics of the Sustainable Architecture as part of CESB22

Those who decide to attend the CESB22 conference in person in Prague will also be able to enjoy an exhibition of 61 pieces that are part of the Aesthetics of the Sustainable Architecture exhibition from the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery.

This international exhibition will present the main directions of contemporary sustainable architecture applied in cooperation with experts and activists, even in terms of aesthetic tendencies that have an impact on the environmental context of contemporary architecture, especially in the new urban structures.

The exhibition will be open from the beginning of June 2022. We look forward to see you!

One day left to submit your full paper!

Authors whose abstracts were accepted by the CESB22 Scientific Committee have one last day to submit their full papers, as the original deadline was extended until 15 October. The required range of a full paper is eight pages, preferably in British English.

CESB22 under the auspices of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU

We are happy to announce that the CESB22 conference has received official patronage for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Only significant events that correspond to the Presidency’s objectives and priorities, such as climate protection or the promotion and development of new technologies in Europe, are eligible to gain this kind of support from the EU.

Czech Republic will chair the Council of the European Union between 1 July and 31 December 2022.

We received more than 200 abstracts

We are very pleased that the next edition of the CESB conference received a great deal of interest from scientists of all career stages. During the May and June, we received more than 200 abstracts in all thematic areas of the CESB22, however, most often the authors worked with the Energy efficient buildings and districts and Decision-support tools and assessment methods for sustainable built environment topics.

The accepted abstracts are currently being evaluated. The deadline for submitting full contributions is October 1, 2021. We look forward to your next contributions.
